So, back to #healthyhacks. If you don’t know what nice cream is, here’s how to do it first, then I’ll share a few recipes below.
How to make Banana Nice Cream
You ideally want bananas just as they’re going a little too ripe. Slice them up, add them to a freezer bag and throw in the freezer until you need them. To create banana nice cream, you simply whizz up the frozen slices in a blender. You get a deliciously, gooey and slightly custard-like healthy ice cream alternative thanks to its high pectin content. Even better, add a little coconut milk, Greek yoghurt or whichever milk you like best. Then it’s your turn to get as creative as you want as far as flavourings go.
When you first start whizzing the banana slices, you’ll notice it will look grainy. Keep whizzing until you get that delicious, gooey consistency. I like to eat it like this, but if you prefer it to be harder, just add it to a container and freeze for a while longer to firm it up even more.
But this is just the beginning! Now you can get your creative juices flowing!
