Home made whole grain bread
Home made whole grain bread
Home made whole grain bread is one of my favourite bread recipes. It’s easy to prepare and full of flavour and moisture. By baking your own bread, you are also ensuring that you have a healthy loaf, free of preservatives.
This home made whole grain bread recipe is baked inside a bread maker, however if you prefer to shape your own loaf, you can simply use the dough option and complete the baking process yourself.

In my breadmaker, which is a Panasonic SD-2051, I use programme 4 which bakes the bread for 5 hours. If you choose to do a rapid version, add an extra ½ tsp of yeast. The rapid bake will take 3 hours. On my breadmaker, the rapid bake option is programme 3.
I have baked my own bread with the help of a breadmaker for the past 17 years. My previous Panasonic lasted for 15 years.I have been very impressed with the Panasonic SD-2051 and feel it is money worth investing. If you prefer to bake a loaf that you shape yourself, simply use the dough option which will do the mixing and proving for you, then you shape it and finish off the baking process yourself.
We love waking up to the fragrance of freshly baked bread wafting through the house. What’s more, we know that our bread is preservative free, contains no sugar and no dairy.
Most breadmaker recipes include sugar and milk powder as default, but you can just as easily leave them out, enjoy a perfectly raised loaf and know that you are eating the healthiest version of it.
